New January 6 Stories That Complicate the Media Narrative

New January 6 Stories That Complicate the Media Narrative
What really happened? The story just keeps getting weirder.--By Adam Mill
  • "The Associated Press reported in August that Robert Reeder, a Maryland man, pleaded guilty to “parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.” He argued for leniency because, “he is a registered Democrat who wasn’t a supporter of former President Donald Trump.” So why did he join the incursion into the Capitol building? Because, he says, he was an “accidental tourist” with nothing better to do.
  • But an online group that calls itself Sedition Hunters recently tweeted a picture it says shows that same “accidental tourist” attacking a police officer. Curiously, the “accidental tourist,” who didn’t support Donald Trump, happened to be wearing a red “MAGA”-style hat. His attorney argued in court, “Mr. Reeder is not politically active, is not and has never been a member of any right-wing or anti-government or extremist group and has, unfortunately, been publicly grouped with many others (whose) views he abhors.”
  • The story reminds one of John Sullivan, a Black Lives Matter activist who infiltrated the January 6 incursion to encourage violence, bully police officers, and generally stoke mayhem. While many of the trespassers remain locked up without bail, Sullivan mysteriously received pre-trial release...Read all.

FNC's Dr. Makary: Biden's Claim Unvaccinated Endanger Vaccinated Isn't True, Undercuts Message That Vaccines Are Effective

FNC's Dr. Makary: Biden's Claim Unvaccinated Endanger Vaccinated Isn't True, Undercuts Message That Vaccines Are Effective

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “America Reports,” Fox News Medical Contributor and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Professor Dr. Marty Makary stated that President Joe Biden’s remarks in defense of his vaccine mandates that unvaccinated people pose a risk to vaccinated people are “not really true,” and contradict “the message that vaccines are effective and they save lives.”

Makary said, “The speech yesterday may increase buzz, and there may be people that go out today or this week to get vaccinated because of this concern that they may need to, and that’s a good thing. But also, it’s going to polarize the issue for some people who are embedded in their position and they’re going to get more entrenched as they see what they perceive to be the overreach of government.”

Los Angeles Unified School District mandates COVID-19 vaccination for students 12 and older - TheBlaze

Students age 12 and older must get vaccinated and it does not appear that there will be a religious exemption available. "All students who are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine are required to be vaccinated, excluding those with qualified exemptions or conditional admissions," according to the district. "A qualified exemption includes a medical exemption. Students may be conditionally admitted if they are in one of these groups: foster youth, homeless, migrant, military family, or has an IEP. State law does not recognize religious or personal belief exemptions for student immunizations."

Biden welcomes GOP challenges to his vaccine mandate: 'Have at it' - TheBlaze

Biden announced Thursday that he would sign an executive order requiring companies with more than 100 employees to mandate vaccinations or have their workers submit to weekly testing requirements. The new federal requirements are part of a larger six-point plan to combat the Delta variant of coronavirus, after his administration's previous efforts to get Americans vaccinated failed to deliver on the promised result of a return to normal.

Such TOTAL GARBAGE!-----Polar bears may be inbreeding, a study found. And it's elevating their risk for extinction

Polar bears may be inbreeding, a study found. And it's elevating their risk for extinction
"Scientists studying the impact of climate change on polar bears have come across
a new threat to the species — increased inbreeding.

In a study published in the Royal Society Journals Wednesday, genetic testing over a 20-year period for polar bears in Svalbard Archipelago, Norway found up to a 10% loss in genetic diversity.
Scientists said climate change and the rapid loss of arctic ice were causing habitat fragmentation, possibly leading to local polar bears mating with each other.
"The loss of genetic diversity and likely inbreeding depression could result in reduced survival or longevity and productivity for this iconic species," author Simo Maduna of the Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research told USA TODAY in an email.
According to the study, the loss of genetic diversity could lead to an elevated extinction risk for the species already facing the loss of their natural habitat...Read on, it continues with more of the junkiest science that has now replaced "systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe."

Childhood, interrupted: Ruining young lives will not quell our existential fears - TheBlaze

In 2020, I watched — first with disbelief, then shock and horror — as schools around the world closed and children were masked and isolated. I could not understand what was happening or why. The data was clear: COVID-19 was not a significant threat to children — far less so than the risks we already tolerated every day from sports, car rides, swimming, or even from the freshly verboten flu.

Fauci can't give a 'really firm answer' on why Americans with natural immunity need vaccines - TheBlaze

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the White House's top adviser for the COVID-19 pandemic, told CNN on Thursday that he doesn't have "a really firm answer" on the accuracy of a study that found natural immunity provides better protection against the virus than vaccines alone. During an interview on "Anderson Cooper 360," CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta asked Fauci about a study done in Israel that found natural immunity from previous COVID-19 infection conferred longer-lasting protection against the Delta variant of coronavirus than two shots of the Pfizer vaccine. "So, as we talk about vaccine mandates, I get calls all the time, people say, I've already had COVID, I'm protected. And now the study says maybe even more protected than the vaccine alone. Should they also get the vaccine? How do you make the case to them?" Gupta asked.
