"The Washington Free Beacon‘s Chuck Ross revealed that the Pentagon wouldn’t name the official who provided misleading information about three supposed Chinese spy balloons during President Donald Trump’s administration.
The senior official said on Saturday:
PRC [People’s Republic of China] government surveillance balloons transited the continental United States briefly at least three times during the prior administration..

...Officials in the Pentagon changed their story on Sunday, but honestly, they made it worse.

Is this the world’s most ill-informed Professor of African History, or is it only a British record?

"If anybody ever wonders who in academia is providing inaccurate information and shoddy research for those who wish to promote the idea of a black African presence in Britain dating back thousands of years, they need look no further than Professor Hakim Adi of Chichester University.
His book, African and Caribbean People in Britain: A History, published less than six months ago, is a primer in how to mislead the gullible and credulous.

FERC’s role in the offshore wind stampede

FERC’s role in the offshore wind stampede - By David
"...Not surprisingly the 103 page report is mistitled.
It is actually about the onshore transmission of offshore wind power, not offshore transmission.
The urgency is that the present power system cannot handle all that offshore juice coming ashore.
...The existing transmission system was not designed to handle this enormous power flow, coming from a new direction, so it won’t.
Hence the “urgency” referenced in the title of the report.
...52,000 MW is something like $200 billion in
  • new generating capacity,
  • none of which is needed
  • so somebody’s power bills are going way up.
  • One of the urgent things they want FERC to do is spread the cost around
No surprise there.
The reason FERC is referred to 92 times is that they want the electric power system rebuilt, physically and contractually, to handle this stampede of new, unneeded, intermittent generation...
  • Of particular interest is that the lead sponsor of this study is the Natural Resources Defense Council or NRDC. They are, or used to be, one of America’s biggest environmental advocacy outfits. Now they are “environmental industrialists” a living oxymoron. They want to rebuild the global power system in the name of environmental protection. Surely this is mindless madness...

Arizona hospital on brink of collapse after spending $20 million on migrant care: 'Nobody has a solution' | Fox News

"We just don't have a payer source. Everybody is sympathetic, and everybody lends a listening ear, but nobody has a solution," he said. "We've provided $20 million in care to the migrants that are crossing the border and we just don't have a payer source for those individuals. It's not a sustainable model to have these continued rising expenses without a revenue source to offset that," he added.
