Russia and Communist China further evidenced their affinities and shared geopolitical aims this week. Chinese dictator Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin met at the Kremlin Tuesday to discuss a "new era" of bilateral ties and greater cooperation on a number of issues spanning the globe.
Following the meeting, Xi told Putin, "Change is coming that hasn't happened in 100 years. And we are driving this change together."

For Five Years, The Pulitzer Prizes Have Rewarded Misinformation
For Five Years, The Pulitzer Prizes Have Rewarded Misinformation - BY: MARK HEMINGWAY
- This many high-profile failures in such a short time makes winning a Pulitzer look definitively like a mark of ignominy.
In practice, however, my former colleague Phil Terzian, a Pulitzer finalist who has served on the nominating committee, described the inner workings of the Pulitzers this way:
The Pulitzer Prizes are a singularly corrupt institution, administered by Columbia University and the management of the New York Times largely for the benefit of the New York Times and a limited number of favored publications and personalities.Any citizen who thinks that the annual distribution of awards has something to do with quality probably believes that the Oscar for Best Picture goes to the most distinguished film of the year...

Christian who escaped Chinese persecution warns US descending into 'communist style of governance' | Fox News:
Fu said he has observed with concern how the left in the U.S. is increasingly exhibiting "dictatorial" attitudes both culturally and politically by censoring speech, enforcing "woke" culture and not tolerating dissent. He pinpointed the alleged political weaponizing of federal law enforcement agencies as a worrisome escalation of such trends.

Travis Allen | Alliance Defending Freedom"When Blake Allen, a 14-year-old female high school student at Randolph Union High School in Vermont, had her privacy violated by a male student who identified as a female, she was understandably horrified and embarrassed.
The male student entered the girls’ locker room where she and her volleyball teammates were changing.
But when Blake raised her discomfort and concerns to school officials, they not only did nothing to protect the girls, they also suspended Blake and her father for speaking up.
But when Blake raised her discomfort and concerns to school officials, they not only did nothing to protect the girls, they also suspended Blake and her father for speaking up.
- After Blake had expressed concerns to classmates that the male student was “literally a dude,” the school accused her of harassment and bullying, launched an investigation, and eventually suspended her.
- As further punishment—and as a condition for avoiding further suspensions—the school demanded she submit a “reflective essay” and take part in a “restorative circle” with the “Equity Coordinator” and other students “to understand the rights of students to access public accommodations . . . in a manner consistent with their gender identity.”...

The bipartisan bill sought to strike down a new Labor Department rule encouraging retirement fiduciaries to consider environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues in their investments. Is There A Way To Stop Bank Panics Like The One That Took Down SVB? - I & I Editorial Board"...U.S. banking disasters plagued the late 20th century and early 21st century.
But of course they go back long before even that, to 1907 and 1929, as two examples.
More recently, there was the 1980s and ’90s savings and loan crisis, the 1998 collapse of Long-Term Capital Management and global crisis, the 2007 financial crisis (which also became a global bank crisis), and, now, the Silicon Valley Bank collapse...

But the big questions are:
- Why do these financial crises keep happening?
- And what can be done to stop them?

Squatters torment homeowners across US with no resolution in sight: 'It's a problem' | Fox News:
Homeowners across the country tormented by squatters find themselves tied up in lengthy and expensive legal battles to get control of their properties back – and one expert warns many others can find themselves victims.
Attorney Jim Burling told Fox News Digital that any home unoccupied for a stretch can be a target of squatters.
"I think it's a fairly big problem and I think it's pretty hard to avoid," said Burling, who is vice president of legal affairs for Pacific Legal Foundation. Burling said squatters took over a neighbor's home after the owner died and eventually had to be removed by police.

1% of Democrat Counties Make Up 42% of America's Murders | Frontpage Mag
- America doesn’t have a crime problem, it has a Democrat problem.
- Krugman, who somehow has a Nobel Prize, failed to note that most of the murders were coming out of Oklahoma City and Tulsa. In last year’s gubernatorial election, Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt won most of the state while Oklahoma, Tulsa and Cleveland counties however went to leftist Democrat Joy Hofmeister...
A groundbreaking study by John R. Lott of the Crime Prevention Research Center, revealed that “1% of counties have 21% of the population and 42% of the murders” and “2% of counties contain 31% of the population and 56% of the murders.”
The 1% of bloody red counties include such Democrat strongholds as Philadelphia, New York City, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Dallas, D.C., Miami-Dade, Milwaukee, San Diego, St. Louis, Chicago’s Cook County, L Houston’s Harris County, Detroit’s Wayne County, Memphis’ Shelby County, Pheonix’s Maricopa County, Cleveland’s Cuyahoga County, and many others.

"I think he’s too focused on tactics, and not enough on strategy, here.
Part of this is sending a message to anyone else who might challenge the Establishment, that all rules and norms will be cast aside to punish you in every way possible, even if — as with Trump — it involves perverting and discrediting the entire system, as it has done here.
In fact the willingness to openly pervert and discredit the entire system is itself a declaration of power. “We don’t care about what you and the voting public think, because we don’t have to care.”-- Glenn Reynolds

San Francisco activist warns city has become 'epicenter' of 'cartel-fueled' drug crisis as overdoses soar | Fox News:
Pacific Alliance for Prevention and Recovery founder Tom Wolf joined "Fox & Friends First" to discuss how organized crime has fueled the city's opioid crisis as drug-related overdoses continue to skyrocket.
"Unfortunately for San Francisco, we've become the epicenter of the overdose crisis in the United States," Wolf told Ashley Strohmier said Tuesday. "We have the highest overdose death rate per capita of any county in the United States right now, and if we don't step in and intervene – and what I mean by intervene is, we need to actually come in and take these organized drug dealers down because they are cartel-fueled, organized drug dealers that are operating on our streets."

Woke Cambridge Students HATE Historian's FACTS - Rafe Heydel-Mankoo
"Cambridge University students at the Cambridge Union didn't like hearing historian and broadcaster Rafe Heydel-Mankoo argue that Britain should not pay reparations for slavery & colonialism.
Well-established facts about the British Empire, Asia and Africa, which were well known to earlier generations of students, seem to be completely new to many of them -- and some do not want to hear or believe anything that contradicts the narrative they've been taught
