- Merchan has been described as a life long Democrat and a bombshell discovery of his daughter’s LinkedIn account reveals his daughter is not just a Democrat but a Democrat who previously worked on Kamala Harris’ Presidential campaign.

A report in Reuters last week points toward another problem for the electric vehicle: durability after a crash.
Specifically, the electric vehicle’s battery is a problem.
For many electric vehicles, there is no way to repair or assess even slightly damaged battery packs after accidents, forcing insurance companies to write off cars with few miles - leading to higher premiums and undercutting gains from going electric.

- ...“If that’s not bad enough, customers are now having to face the fact that a minor fender bender could lead to the loss of their entire vehicle,” Hayes said. “Who knows what this is going to do to insurance rates? At what point will we admit this was a bad idea and stick with reliable and effective technologies?”...

Bragg Was Looking to Charge Trump with a Felony, Could Land Himself in Prison for Years Instead:
“If [Bragg] uses Cohen as a witness, he could actually lose his bar license,” Dershowitz told Fox Business Network’s “Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo” in a March 26 interview, according to Mediaite.
That was four days before the news of the indictment exploded on the scene on Thursday.
“It’s unethical to put a witness on the stand who you know is lying, and he has to know that Cohen will be lying,” Dershowitz said. “Or he tries the case without Cohen, which would be very difficult, or he does the right thing: He drops the case.”

You're not allowed to make legitimate points or ask legit questions anymore...
Facebook Debbie Schlussel "You're not allowed to make legitimate points or ask legit questions anymore lest you be demanded to give an apology or be canceled (or both in many cases).
Guy Pearce, who is a great actor and played trans in a movie, made the mistake of making the same point I've made several times: if only trans--and not straight/normal--actors can play trans roles then why are trans allowed to play straight roles?
- But he made the mistake of assuming you're allowed to be reasonable and ask reasonable questions.
- Here's a tip: only straight whites can be racist and trans can play whatever role they want, etc.
- There is no two-way street or sanity in this world. So now, of course and predictably, Pearce is doing mega back flips on the apology treadmill.
So sad.

...In his last days in office, President Barack Obama made the decision to set the country on a new course. ...Disinformation, a half-forgotten relic of the Cold War, was newly spoken of as an urgent, existential threat.
Russia was said to have exploited the vulnerabilities of the open internet to bypass U.S. strategic defenses by infiltrating private citizens’ phones and laptops...
The point was echoed by Michael Lumpkin, who headed the State Department’s Global Engagement Center (GEC), the agency Obama designated to run the U.S. counter-disinformation campaign.
Lumpkin singled out the Privacy Act of 1974, a post-Watergate law protecting U.S. citizens from having their data collected by the government, as antiquated.
“The 1974 act was created to make sure that we aren’t collecting data on U.S. citizens. Well, … by definition the World Wide Web is worldwide. There is no passport that goes with it. If it’s a Tunisian citizen in the United States or a U.S. citizen in Tunisia, I don’t have the ability to discern that … If I had more ability to work with that [personally identifiable information] and had access … I could do more targeting, more definitively, to make sure I could hit the right message to the right audience at the right time.”The message from the U.S. defense establishment was clear: To win the information war—an existential conflict taking place in the borderless dimensions of cyberspace—the government needed to dispense with outdated legal distinctions between foreign terrorists and American citizens...

Explains Why Fauci Had Such a Problem With Early Treatment
"Tony Fauci's problem is this: there's a little-known Federal law that says, 'You cannot give an emergency use authorization to a vaccine if there is any medication approved for any purpose that is shown effective against the target disease.'
So if Tony Fauci or anybody had admitted that hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin are effective against COVID, it would have been illegal for them to give the emergency use authorization to the vaccines, and they could have never gotten them approved.
And a 200 billion dollar enterprise would have collapsed."
