scale back of LGBTQ Pride month event coverage to cow to unhappy viewers.
In the leaked memo to staff from WOOD TV’s assistant news director, newsroom leadership also told staff that if they are covering Pride events to
“consider how to make the story balanced and get both sides of the issues.”..WOOD TV Executive Producer Luke Stier wrote on Twitter that the memo was met with “immediate pushback” from the newsroom and that
those involved in the memo have been removed from discussions around Pride month coverage....
