Kamala Harris' bizarre attempt to redefine 'culture' elicits mockery - TheBlaze

Kamala Harris, whose net approval rating was recently found to be the worst for a vice president in NBC News polling history, has elicited a new wave of criticism and mockery with her latest so-called "word salad." The vice president joined Sunny Hostin, co-host of ABC's "The View," and pro-abortion activist Monica Simpson on Friday to discuss race-specific "reproductive health" at the 2023 Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans.

Pete Buttigieg 'takes over' White House social media feed — what could go wrong?

Pete Buttigieg 'takes over' White House social media feed — what could go wrong? - Monica Showalter
"Pete Buttigieg has announced he's taking over the White House social media feed in order to tout Joe Biden's achievements...
What could go wrong?...
The front screen shot of the ad is so bad, what with that close-up of Pete with his mouth wide open, that it looks as if a political enemy created it...
The content of this little takeover is actually even worse, once you listen closely to each video.
Start with this one:Notice anything?
 The sound doesn't work.
The image, meanwhile, is nearly static, telling us nothing.
Oh, well. Let's move onto the next one...

The New Information World Order

The New Information World Order - BY RICHARD FERNANDEZ
"The WSJ writes: “Let the battle begin. Facebook parent Meta Platforms on Wednesday announced the launch of Threads, a stand-alone microblogging app that takes direct aim at Twitter as user unrest in that platform has grown since Elon Musk took the company over in October.”
  • The rise of social media as a news source and opinion shaper is eating away at the influence of traditional media platforms. Fewer people, mostly oldsters, still watch TV.
  • Already, “almost half of Americans use social media as a news source, according to the Pew Research Center.”
With the 2024 elections right around the corner, Musk’s acquisition of Twitter cannot go unanswered.
...Of course, it will all be tied together by artificial intelligence...
Meta’s entry into the fray only underscores how important it’s become.
Musk’s much-criticized limits on “extreme data scraping” on Twitter can be seen as a defensive move to prevent bots from obtaining sentiment analysis and data capture by free-riding on his platform. Data scraping involves pulling information out of a website and into a data store. A dedicated data scraper analyzes information someone else has gathered, and Musk is unwilling to give it to his competitors for free.
But Elon will need more than defense...

6 attorneys general warn Target it's pushing 'harmful products' on kids:

But now there's a warning that the situation could get worse for Target, which pointedly promoted the transgender ideology by offering women's swim suits designed to accommodate the male body, and LGBT products to children. A report from Fox Business explained multiple attorneys general are warning the company its "Pride" collection "contained vulgar clothing that may violate child-protection laws."

It's a mystery.

Experts baffled by White House invoking Hatch Act to dodge Hunter cocaine question: 'ridiculous' | Fox News

Attorney Bradley P. Moss told Fox News Digital he is "candidly at a loss as to why Mr. Bates believes the Hatch Act is relevant with respect to addressing that question." "I could envision other legitimate bases for declining to respond, such as respecting the integrity of the ongoing investigation, but references to the Hatch Act seem misplaced," Moss continued.

U.S. Energy Secretary’s bullish talk on EV jobs has not matched reality. - By Therese Boudreaux
  • Granholm promises ‘additive’ jobs as EVs transition shrinks head counts at automakers
"Manufacturers in Michigan have announced plans for new investments in electric vehicle manufacturing while also cutting thousands of jobs.
In June 2022, Ford Motor Co. promised that a $3.7 billion investment would create 6,200 new hourly jobs in Michigan, Ohio and Missouri.
  • Two months later, Ford cut 3,000 salaried jobs —many in Michigan— to compete more aggressively with Tesla in the electric vehicle market.
  • Layoff notices have followed soon after nearly every promise government officials have made that the transition to EVs will lead to job growth...

  • University of Toronto researchers looked at 1.7million adults over 65 years old
  • Those in warmer areas were up to 44 percent more likely to have vision problems
"...The researchers, with their scholarly caution, admit that their study is “observational” and therefore, cannot definitively prove that warmer temperatures are leading to vision problems.
They assure us that further research is needed (of course it is, we need more grant money!)...

Heartbeat from the Presidency?!!-----Huh? Kamala Harris Spews Out New Word Salad About Culture

Huh? Kamala Harris Spews Out New Word Salad About Culture - Julio Rosas
"Sure as the sun rises every morning, it is a guarantee that whenever Vice President Kamala Harris speaks, she is sure to go off script and spout a string of words that technically construct a sentence.
Speaking at the 2023 Essence Festival, Harris did her typical repeated use of words to describe that very word and ended it with her infamous chuckle at the end to break the tension.
"Culture is a reflection of our moment and our time, right? And present culture is the way we express how we're feeling about the moment and we should always find times to express how we feel about the moment that is a reflection of joy ‘cause you know — it comes in the morning," Harris said...

The media lies. Repeats as necessary.

"The global warming alarmists have found their next target: international shipping.
They have discovered a new way to cut carbon emissions from cargo ships by nearly 20 percent.
They haven’t developed a new fuel...
No, they want us to go back to the days of Columbus and Magellan.
Call it the Cook Protocol; they want to attach massive kites to pull these ships across the oceans (via CNN):
You may have seen kitesurfers in action, harnessing the power of the wind to pull them over the sea. Now imagine the same concept applied to a 1,000-square-meter kite, flying 300 meters above the water – only instead of towing a surfer across the waves, it’s helping to propel a colossal cargo ship across the ocean...
