When Ray Charles culturally appropriated Eddy Arnold

When Ray Charles culturally appropriated Eddy Arnold
"The Washington Post — owned by Jeff Bezos — ventured into country music this weekend.
It did not go well because if there is one thing DC journalists know less than guns, it is country music.
The Bezos Post reported, “Tracy Chapman, Luke Combs and the complicated response to Fast Car.
“Combs’s remake of Chapman’s 1988 hit now dominates the country charts, renewing difficult conversations about diversity in Nashville.”
Difficult conversations is dog whistle racism by Bezos and his Post — at least according to my cat. I cannot hear dog whistles.
The story’s unsubtle message is a country star is not allowed to record a song written by a black woman because, well, just because.
How dare you ask!...

Son of Canadian pastor facing prison for sermon blasts Trudeau before EU Parliament, draws standing ovation | Fox News

"We no longer have freedom of religion, or freedom of speech, or the right to protest or assemble or associate or express ourselves or have free media or disagree with the government," Nathaniel Pawlowski told the EU Parliament. "Anyone who does so is arrested, charged and jailed as political dissidents." His speech was followed by a recorded video in which his father likened his situation in Canada to growing up behind the Iron Curtain in communist Poland.

Cuz it wouldn't be too hard to beat the current group of "professional" writers!

Non-binary ex-Biden official Sam Brinton was on secret taxpayer-funded trip at time of luggage theft | Fox News -  By Thomas Catenacci | Fox News
"EXCLUSIVE: Sam Brinton, the embattled non-binary former senior Department of Energy (DOE) official, was traveling on a taxpayer-funded business trip at the time of a high-profile baggage theft last year, internal Biden administration documents show...
Police accused Brinton of stealing a suitcase with a total estimated worth of $3,670 at Harry Reid International Airport on July 6, 2022, the same day Brinton traveled to Las Vegas on official DOE business...
  • Brinton ultimately escaped jail time in the grand larceny case after pleading no contest to the charges and waiving the right to a trial. Brinton was ordered to pay $3,670.74 to the victim in the case and $500 in additional fees including a criminal fine and Clark County Judge Ann Zimmerman handed Brinton a 180-day suspended jail sentence, a sentence that doesn't need to be served, and ordered Brinton to "stay out of trouble."
  • Brinton also escaped jail time in a separate case involving the theft of a baggage worth a total of $2,325 from the luggage carousel at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport on Sept. 16.
  • And Brinton was arrested in May in relation to yet another baggage theft, this time stemming from a 2018 incident at the Washington, D.C.-area Reagan National Airport...

THIS IS CNN: CNN Deceptively Edits RNC Chair To Paint Her as a Conspiracy Theorist.

...Wallace owes viewers and explanation. He knew what McDaniel was talking about on Tuesday, but based off his answers to Coates, he doesn’t care. CNN’s dishonest editing didn’t just allow it to spread a false narrative about McDaniel, it allowed others to do the same. MSNBC’s Chris Hayes panned McDaniel on Thursday as someone who “just can’t say the straightforward sentence.” While secretary and Friday Way Too Early guest host Ali Vitali added, “And of course we will again underscore the fact president Biden did win the election and he did so fairly”

The fake version also made its way around the internet to Mediaite, the Washington Post, the DNC’s website, and HuffPost.

Why on earth is McDaniel going on CNN in the first place? But if she feels like she must, as Glenn wrote in the New York Post after Charlie Gibson’s deceptively edited interview with Sarah Palin in September of 2008: Bring Your Own Camera.

Tucker Carlson says media 'determined to suppress the truth' - TheBlaze

Tucker Carlson claimed that Washington and media figures are not bothered by lies but that they have a meltdown when people tell the truth. "No one in Washington or in the media ... is ever outraged by a lie," Carlson told BlazeTV host Glenn Beck during a wide-ranging conversation on Friday after Carlson had interviewed multiple presidential candidates earlier in the day at the FAMiLY Leadership Summit. Blaze Media teamed up with the FAMiLY Leader for that event.

Pronoun Lockdown: Almost Half of Millennials Want Jail Time for “Misgendering”
"A recent survey by Redfield & Wilton Strategies for Newsweek, found that 44 percent of millennials (between ages 25-34) favor criminal charges for people who use the wrong pronouns for others or so-called “misgendering.”
We have previously discussed how misgendering is now a crime in countries like Great Britain. Misgendering has been referred to as an “act of violence” at some U.S. universities.
There has been a concern that we are seeing the rise of a generation of censors, who have been taught since a young age that speech is harmful and even violent...

The appalling media campaign to bow to government censors | Fox News  By Jonathan Turley
  • It's shocking and depressing to me that major media figures are defending government censorship
"Editor's note: This essay first appeared on the author's blog Res ipsa loquitur – The thing itself speaks.
As a long-standing free speech advocate, the last few years have been alarming and, frankly, depressing.
The censorship efforts of the government are, unfortunately, not new.
  • However, what is new is the support of the media and the Democratic Party in such censorship...

Turley: Biden Admin. Called for Censoring True Information Using Same 'Clarion Call' as all Censoring Nations

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “The Story,” Fox News Contributor and George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley stated that the argument for government censorship on social media uses “the clarion call of every nation that has engaged in censorship” that people need to be protected from “harmful” views and ideas and pointed to the government pressing for restrictions on true statements.

Turley said, “[T]his is the clarion call of every nation that has engaged in censorship. They always say that they’re protecting citizens from harmful thoughts, harmful ideas, harmful viewpoints, that this is all for the good, because you shouldn’t hear these views. That’s always been the case.

They'll never fess up! NEVER!
