Who Will Say No More to the Current Madness? - Victor Davis Hanson
The inept Chamberlain government had just lost a winnable Norway campaign to Germany.
Amery responded with a blistering attack on the incompetence of the conservative Chamberlain administration by quoting Oliver Cromwell's hallmark 1653 order to the Long Parliament: "You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go."
Three days later after Amery's speech and the invasion of France, an ill Chamberlain and most of his advisors resigned.
We need a voice like Amery's.

California bill would make questioning school board members a crime | The College Fix
Senate Bill 596, introduced by Democratic State Senator Anthony Portantino in February and dubbed the “School Employees: Protection” act, expands an existing law “which makes it a misdemeanor for any ‘person’ to threaten or harass a school employee during the ‘course of [their] duties,'” according to the California Globe.
This expansion adds a penalty for creating a “substantial disorder” at any meeting of a public school board, charter school board, county board of education, and the California State Board of Education.
Although “Substantial disorder” is not precisely defined...Gone from the definition of “harassment” is “unlawful violence” and “credible threat of violence,” and in its place is “torments, or terrorizes.”...

Canadian govt wants fossil fuels mostly gone by 2035
"...Everyone’s heard the line about renewables being cheaper and no one’s falling for it any more.
.Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault’s newly announced plan to largely phase out the use of fossil fuels to generate power in Canada over the next 12 years is being criticized as costly and unrealistic, despite his claims that higher electricity costs would be offset by savings on oil and gas.
..Environment and Climate Change Canada officials said in a technical briefing that the national average household energy bill would increase by between $35 and $61 per year when the regulations are adopted by 2040, although the government says that only two per cent of this increase would be the result of the regulations. It also projects that the increase would be offset by savings when consumers reduce their dependency on fossil fuels, for instance the savings from the cheaper cost of recharging an electric vehicle (EV) compared to filling up with gasoline.
“Shifting to clean electricity saves households on their energy bills away from the shocks of yo-yoing gas and oil prices,” said Guilbeault....

Unsold electric cars may signal a death spiral for the auto industry - CFACT
With new EV inventories beginning to increase on dealer lots...
As the future is fast approaching, virtually all automobile manufacturers, through government mandates to reduce the emissions of their fleet of vehicles, are going all-in only to manufacture EVs in the coming years. To meet low emissions for their fleet of vehicles, we’re most likely going to see fewer and fewer hybrids as the auto industry manufacturers need to eliminate the gasoline engines in hybrids to meet those lower emission targets.
The problem is that manufacturers are loading up the “supply chain” with EVs on dealer lots, but they’re not seeing the “demand” for EVs coming from the public. The current EV ownership profiles of the elite owners are that they are:
- highly educated.
- highly compensated.
- multi-car families.
- low mileage requirements for the families’ second car, i.e., the EV.
Current EV owners are dramatically different from most vehicle owners...
