Will China pay climate change “loss and damage”?
Will China pay climate change “loss and damage”? - David Wojick "...The simple issue is, will China pay into the new Loss and Damages Fund?
Assuming they ever get it going.
It seems obvious they should, and a lot of countries are calling for it, including the US, which might even make it a condition of our participation.
- I mean, China is the world’s largest CO2 emitter, right?
- They produce more electricity than the US, EU, and UK combined, mostly by burning billions of tons of coal a year.
What could be simpler?...

Anheuser-Busch sales crater again, but signs show executives heard customers loud and clear | Blaze Media:
American sales of Anheuser-Busch InBev tanked in the third quarter, the company revealed on Tuesday, yet more proof that American consumers succeeded in boycotting the company for sponsoring transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
Globally, Anheuser-Busch InBev reported generally positive figures in sales and revenue for the third quarter, measuring metrics from July through September. But those numbers were "partially offset" by a 17% decrease in U.S. sales over the same period and a massive 13.5% drop in revenue. Overall, there was a 29.3% decline in adjusted U.S. earnings.

Zelensky Advisor Admits Gov't Officials 'Stealing Like No Tomorrow'
Zelensky Advisor Admits Gov't Officials 'Stealing Like No Tomorrow'"A top advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reportedly admitted that corruption is so rampant in the wartorn former Soviet state that officials are “stealing like there’s no tomorrow”.
...“People are stealing like there’s no tomorrow,” the top advisor is said to have told the publication, saying that officials do not “feel any fear” of engaging in corruption because the firing of Reznikov and others took over six months after Zelenksy was warned that the Defence Ministry was drowning in graft.
Another advisor is reported to have told the magazine that by the time Zelesnky acted “it was too late” and that the corruption scandal had not only become known in Western capitals but also among soldiers on the frontline, where troops reportedly began making lewd jokes about “Reznikov’s eggs” — a reference to the accusation that the Defence Ministry had vastly overpaid for basic items such as eggs and coats for soldiers...

Speaker vote suggests Republicans are finally ready to act like Democrats | Blaze Media
Speaker vote suggests Republicans are finally ready to act like Democrats | Blaze Media:
The split among congressional Republicans reflects a great divide among the American people over whether to support the ever-expanding mega-alliance of big government, big money, big business, and big media, aligned with the nation’s so-called cultural and educational institutions, which are just a big brainwashing outfit doing the plutocrats’ bidding.
To me, those 22 days without action from Congress during the speaker deliberations were the best governing we’ve had for quite a while. If Johnson and the budget hard-liners can transform their party from a surrender caucus into a group that fights like Democrats, this nation might just have a chance of surviving beyond 2024.

Pronoun, bathroom use for Michigan’s trans students prompts legal opinion request
- Michigan’s Civil Rights Commission voted unanimously Monday to seek a legal opinion on whether denying transgender and non-binary students the ability to use the bathrooms and pronouns of their choice constitutes a violation of state civil rights law.
- The requests, given unanimous approval by commissioners Oct. 23, could pave the way for interpretive statements that would be seen as effectively law in Michigan until someone challenged the matter in court...

Trucker destroys electric vehicle mandate in 2 minutes | Blaze Media:
A truck driver in a viral video explained that poor infrastructure and inefficient, heavy electric batteries make it nearly impossible to switch semi-trucks and other large vehicles to fully electric.
Chace Barber, trucker and founder of Edison Motors, appeared in a widely circulated video during an event showcasing his company's hybrid truck model.
Barber has advocated for a push toward hybrid semi-trucks, as opposed to fully electric, which he said are a bad idea, the Independent Journal Review reported.
"Do you ever see yourself going 100% EV?" an interviewer asked.
The Hardest Thing About War: Accepting the Hard Truths-AFNN
The Hardest Thing About War: Accepting the Hard Truths-AFNN - John F. Di Leo"...Wherever Israel knows there’s a terrorist tunnel, they now know there might be a hostage as well.
Israel must therefore fear destroying the very tunnels they know they need to destroy, because of the likelihood of collateral damage – the accidental killing of her own innocent people as part of the firefight.
Those of us who don’t understand war at all will play into the terrorists’ hands, and demand restraint and delay.

Those of us who don’t understand war at all will play into the terrorists’ hands, and demand restraint and delay.
Those of us who have some understanding of war know the opposite – that delay only helps the enemy, and we must toughen up and admit the hard truth:
- That there is no reason to believe these 230 people are still alive.

This War Will Push Rapidly Escalating Global Food Prices Into Overdrive
This War Will Push Rapidly Escalating Global Food Prices Into Overdrive - MICHAEL SNYDER"The only way that we can continue to have cheap food is if we have cheap energy.
We use energy to grow our food, to harvest our food, to produce our food and to package our food.
And transporting all of that food from the farm to the factory and then to the stores takes lots of energy. Of course it isn’t just our food supply that depends upon cheap energy.
- Ultimately, our entire way of life is predicated on a cheap energy paradigm.
- If you take cheap energy away, everything changes.
That is why this war in the Middle East could represent such a critical economic tipping point.
But don’t just take my word for it.
- 31 percent of the world’s oil comes from the Middle East.
But don’t just take my word for it.
At this point, even the World Bank is sounding the alarm…
