How to fall asleep anywhere in 120 seconds or less | Blaze Media

Make a pot of coffee. Get yourself a nice, straight-backed chair with no cushioning -- something you might find at the DMV. Keep the lights on, fluorescent if possible. Play some machine gun sounds on a loop at maximum volume. Take a seat, close your eyes, and relax. That's how legendary sprinting coach Bud Winter taught a bunch of Navy pilots to fall asleep during World War 2. It took them six weeks of practice to get to this level, but once they did, it worked every time. And Winter's technique is something we can apply in situations even more hostile to peaceful slumber than combat. Flying coach from Philadelphia to Tampa, for example. Here's the technique, often called the "Military Method," as described in Winter's book "Relax and Win." It has two parts: relaxing the body, followed by relaxing the mind.

It may survive in pockets around the world, but it sure appears we are headed for a Hobbesian world where life is solitary, poor, nasty, brutish and short.
What took centuries to build from ignorance, barbarity, mysticism, and filth is now headed back into an age of ignorance, barbarity, mysticism, and filth – and in a matter of a few decades.
It’s due to three groups of people –
  • one group that welcomes savagery in the acquisition of power,
  • those who watch and do nothing because they don’t believe descent into madness and violence is possible, and
  • another group that clearly recognizes the fall, but is too small and impotent to take charge...

'Obamacare epiphany': Sen. Warren finally wises up to the 'unintended consequences' of a key Obamacare rule | Blaze Media

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is finally acknowledging some of the "unintended consequences" of Obamacare, according to the Wall Street Journal editorial board. Last week, Warren and Sen. Mike Braun (R-Ind.) sent a letter to the Health and Human Services Department inspector general requesting an investigation into whether insurance companies are dodging the medical loss ratio, a key Obamacare rule, to consolidate control in the health care industry and generate sky-high profits.

PAULA BOLYARD: A Dirty Little Secret About Drudge. Many of you will recall that Drudge at first did

Instapundit -  PAULA BOLYARD: A Dirty Little Secret About Drudge. Many of you will recall that Drudge at first did

"Many of you will recall that Drudge at first did everything he could to promote Donald Trump. Then something happened, some sort of falling-out that no one ever really got to the bottom of, and Matt Drudge turned on the president. That was in 2019, a year of big changes for Drudge. There were rumors (still unconfirmed) that the site had been sold...

...For whatever reason, Matt Drudge, who was reportedly apolitical and more interested in the success of his site than any agenda, decided to tank the site. A comparison of Similiar Web (a site that ranks websites based on various metrics)  shows that Drudge was listed as #41 in the nation with 164 million visits in October 2018. Currently, the site ranks at #145 with 51 million visits in October 2023. That’s a major, major drop...

Not at all, but I’d love to finally get to hear the actual story of what turned Drudge into a zombie Website...by

"You can always tell who the good employees are.
They're the ones crying out, "We demand an end to objective evaluation of our job qualifications and job performance!"
Yep, qualified, productive people are always looking for ways to end measurement of job performance. Highly skilled people hate evaluations based on merit!
One of New Jersey's main teachers unions is calling for the end of the basic skills test for certifying teachers.

The New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) is advocating for the demise of the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators: Reading, Writing and Math. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy's signing of Bill S1553 would eliminate that requirement; NJEA called the test "an unnecessary barrier" hindering the alleviation of teacher shortages.

So, if I'm reading this right, to teach children basic skills at a child level, adults have to score about 75% -- a C grade, in other words -- on a basic skills (for children) test...

In Arizona specifically, the Tucson Sector Border Patrol apprehended 58,000 illegal immigrants in a span of 28 days. Numbers continued to pile on to what was an unfortunately busy October 2023 for the region, which saw 55,224 migrants, according to Breitbart.

Election Officials Who Pushed For Hand-Counting Ballots

Lucianne.com News Forum - Dem AG Unveils Indictment Against Republican Election Officials Who Pushed For Hand-Counting Ballots
Daily Caller, by Robert Schmad - Original Article
"Arizona’s Democratic attorney general announced today that a grand jury has decided to indict two election officials for conspiring to delay the certification of votes in their county over their desire to hand-count all election day and early ballots.
Peggy Judd and Terry Crosby, Republican county supervisors from Cochise County, were indicted by the state of Arizona on Nov. 29 on counts of conspiracy and interference with an election.
Judd and Crosby wanted to hand count ballots in their county, citing their distrust of voting machines, and delayed the certification of their county’s election results over those concerns.
“The repeated attempts to undermine our democracy are unacceptable,”

This was done to send a message for election officials questioning votes ahead of the big cheat that's coming.
