"...they are depriving Trump of any kind of defense, much less an affirmative one, and just like the J6 Show Committee, asking for him to be found guilty without facing a jury of his peers.
Every bit of this feels unconstitutional and if allowed to proceed, there is little to stop this process from filtering into other criminal and civil trials where, instead of being innocent until proven guilty, the process will be based on the idea that the accused is guilty until proven innocent.
  • I've seen so many idiots on Twitter/X claiming that if Trump was innocent, he would have produced proof by now.
  • Either they don't understand the law or they have simply adopted the Nina Totenberg Principle of "It's the seriousness of the charge that matters" she developed during the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings...

Rep. Tim Burchett Says Congressional Conservatives Fail Because of the Prevalence of Sexual Blackmail
"..."Here's how it works," he said.
  • “You’re visiting—you’re out of the country or out of town or you’re in a motel or at a bar in D.C.—and whatever you’re into—women or men or whatever—comes up and they’re very attractive, and they’re laughing at your jokes. And you’re buying them a drink. Next thing you know, you’re in the motel room with them naked,”
  • And the next thing, you're about to make a key vote an what happens? Some well-dressed person comes out and whispers in your ear, ‘Hey, man, there’s tapes out on you.’ Or, ‘Were you in a motel room or whatever with whoever?’ And then you’re like, ‘Uh-oh.’ And they say, ‘You really ought not be voting for this thing.’”
Burchett also gave his views on why all the flight logs of Jeffrey Epstein's "Lolita Express" haven't been made public...

CBS talking head floats the possibility of a 'black swan event' in 2024 | Blaze Media - JOSEPH MACKINNON
"CBS News' "Face the Nation" held a roundtable on Christmas Eve, affording various talking heads an opportunity to make predictions for 2024...
Network correspondent Catherine Herridge, the wife of a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force, suggested that "2024 may be the year of a black swan event. This is a national security event with high impact that's very hard to predict."...
Taleb defined the term thusly:
  • "First, it is an outlier, as it lies outside the realm of regular expectations, because nothing in the past can convincingly point to its possibility.
  • Second, it carries an extreme impact.
  •  Third, in spite of its outlier status, human nature makes us concoct explanations for its occurrence after the fact, making it explainable and predictable."...

State Forced to Cancel Electric Vehicle Mandate Vote After Widespread Power Outages

State Forced to Cancel Electric Vehicle Mandate Vote After Widespread Power Outages - C. Douglas Golden
"On Thursday, the Maine Board of Environmental Protection was set to meet to discuss and potentially finalize a California-style electric vehicle mandate that would start in 2027 and force 82 percent of new vehicles to have zero emissions by the 2032 model year, according to the Portland Press Herald.
However, that meeting has been indefinitely postponed
Why? Because the state has been hit with rain and wind that left over 400,000 residents without power, according to Fox News.
  • To put that into perspective, the state population is 1.3 million, meaning roughly one in three people was without power.
  • Assuming that every household in Maine has one car for one person — an unlikely scenario, but it’s a good hypothetical — that means roughly one in three wouldn’t be able to charge his or her car during an emergency...

Flash drives celebrating the holiday, and including Bible readings, were launched into the Yellow Sea in bottles so that the currents will carry them to the shores of the North Korean peninsula.

The judge said there was no "plausible" explanation for the city's punishment other than Varney's criticism. The Shoe’s on the Other Tweet Now - John F. Di Leo
  • "Joe Biden, the demonstrably corrupt current occupant of the Oval Office, issued a slanderous tweet on December 21, accusing President Trump of denying the human rights of American citizens and crippling America’s reputation in the world.
  • We have evidence to gauge such a tweet: President Trump spent four years in the White House himself, so we know his inclinations; we even know exactly what he did...To claim that President Trump would be worse – on any of these issues – than Joe Biden and his corrupt regime is an outrage...
So, like thousands of other celebrities do every day, John Schneider took to Twitter as well, and responded as follows:
“Mr. President,
I believe you are guilty of treason, and should be publicly hung.
Your son, too.
Your response is…?”
