Are Americans More Ignorant than We Realize? - Intellectual Takeout

Are Americans More Ignorant than We Realize? - Intellectual Takeout - Annie Holmquist
"...especially considering that less than a quarter of American students are proficient in civics and only 12 percent are proficient in U.S. history...
  • If American schools continue to neglect teaching these key components of western civilization, and instead focus on more popular, “diversity-minded” subjects, are we in danger of growing ignorant as to how and why we exist as a nation and a people?
  • And if we are ignorant of these things, can we expect to retain the freedom and rights we’ve long enjoyed?

That libs support this says much about libs!-----Despite Liberals’ Hysterical Denials, Aliens Are Registering and Voting - Hans von Spakovsky

Foreign nationals register to vote and then cast ballots in our elections, the evidence shows. Alien voting is a real problem.
  • The truth is out there. Aliens are registering and voting in American elections.
  • For anyone who cares to see it, the truth is available in public records in election offices across the nation. But unfortunately, those who expose the truth about voting by aliens—illegal immigrants or not—are subjected to ridicule and an onslaught from the Left to preserve the broken status quo.
  • Some would prefer that anyone who documents aliens participating in American elections—especially with the current border crisis—simply disappear...

Governor's budget crisis: Slashing safety to fund climate goals | WND | by Around the Web

Newsom proposed revisions to the 2024-25 fiscal budget in May which cut $80 million from the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and $15 million from Department of Justice (DOJ). The proposal includes moving $1.7 billion from the General Fund to the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF), specifically for “equity programs” and other “climate priorities.”

After Being 'Misled' by Appearance of Wind Turbines, Seaside Residents Awake to Nightmare as Houses Begin to Shake

It noted that a 2018 comment from Dominion Energy said the turbines “will not be visible from the Virginia Beach shoreline.”

Project representative Jeremy Slayton said residents were told the pilot turbines were shorter than the ones for the full project, but when WAVY noted that the visibility issue was not linked to the height issue, “Slayton did not point to any specific presentation where visibility was addressed outside the pilot turbines.”

Media wrong about man who allegedly died from bird flu in Mexico - DAVE BONDY
  • Mexican Health Secretary Jorge Alcocer on Thursday disputed an announcement by the World Health Organization (WHO) that a man's death in Mexico was caused by a strain of bird flu previously unknown in humans.
  • During a morning briefing, Alcocer dismissed the WHO's statement and assured that the 59-year-old man, reported to have died from the A(H5N2) strain of avian influenza, actually "died from other causes, mainly kidney and respiratory failure."
  • Alcocer urged the public to remain calm and to view the WHO's announcement with skepticism, stating it is "not accurate."...

We are asking our children to carry loads that are way too heavy for them.

They should not be forced, as children, to see and feel the world through the lens of adults.  - John L Hoh Jr
“Sex,” I was pretty sure, meant whether you were a boy or girl, and “sin” made Tante Jans very angry, but what the two together meant I could not imagine. And so, seated next to Father in the train compartment, I suddenly asked, “Father, what is sexsin?”
He turned to look at me, as he always did when answering a question, but to my surprise he said nothing. At last he stood up, lifted his traveling case from the rack over our heads, and set it on the floor.
“Will you carry it off the train, Corrie?” he said.
I stood up and tugged at it. It was crammed with the watches and spare parts he had purchased that morning.
“It’s too heavy,” I said.
“Yes,” he said. “And it would be a pretty poor father who would ask his little girl to carry such a load. It’s the same way, Corrie, with knowledge. Some knowledge is too heavy for children. When you are older and stronger you can bear it. For now you must trust me to carry it for you.”
- from The Hiding Place: The Story of Corrie Ten Boom
We are asking our children to carry loads that are way too heavy for them.
They should not be forced, as children, to see and feel the world through the lens of adults.
Innocence is worth protecting and worth fighting for.
We need to do our part as teachers, parents and caregivers to carry certain things for them until they are old enough to bear the load.

Hartford, CT, Mayor Denounces Citizens Arming Themselves to Fight Crime

Hartford, Connecticut’s, Mayor Arunan Arulampalam (D) is denouncing residents of a predominately black community for arming themselves to fight violent crime.
...The brigade was founded by Cornell Lewis, who told FOX News, “The Democrat machine in Hartford is either unwilling or unable, incapable, of doing it, and people are paying their tax dollars, and they’re not really getting any kind of service. So we want the people to understand, number one, self-defense is not a dirty word.”
Lewis noted that everyone in the brigade has a concealed carry permit and carries their firearms legally.
The Post noted the brigade was launched “at the behest of Archbishop Dexter Burke of the Walk in the Light Church of God” after two men were shot dead near his church in February.

New Study Shows COVID Vaccines May Have Increased Excess Deaths Since the Pandemic

New Study Shows COVID Vaccines May Have Increased Excess Deaths Since the Pandemic

Our great nightmare of 2020 won’t go away.

Sure, we’re done with the lockdowns, the masks, the social distancing, the closed schools and workplaces and the steady drumbeat of propaganda badgering us with “Don’t be selfish, get vaccinated,” “We’re all in this together” and “Do your part — get the shot.”

Those days are gone, thankfully, although a few mask-wearers remain and the COVID-19 vaccines are still pushed.
