The Maryland Department of State Police (MDSP) has committed to shell out more than $2 million in back pay to black and female applicants who could not pass state trooper tests as part of a settlement agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). - Ireland Owens

• MDSP reached a $2.75 million settlement with the DOJ following claims that the MDSP hiring process violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, according to a Wednesday press release from the DOJ. 
• MDSP requires that state trooper candidates successfully complete both written and physical tests, which the DOJ alleged “discriminate” against the black and female candidates who could not pass them.
• MDSP’s Functional Fitness Assessment Test (FFAT) required female applicants to do “push-ups, sit-ups, a seated reach, a trigger pull, and a one-and-a-half mile run,” according to the complaint. Of the candidates, 81% of the men could pass the physical test at least once, while only 51% of female applicants were able to pass the test...

Videos have emerged on social media showing an unidentified helicopter with pilots wearing military-style headgear sabotaging direly needed supplies at a United Cajun Navy distribution site in Burnsville despite volunteers in a seemingly deliberate act of sabotage despite volunteers allegedly designating the area as a “no-fly, no drop” zone just hours before.

• TikTok user @megsnbacn claimed that the chopper flew in just after 7 p.m. while she was conducting a K9 Security round. She stated that the helicopter did not belong to any of them and was unmarked, which is illegal.
• She also stated that 45 minutes before the aircraft arrived, two unidentified SUVs showed up, did a “slow roll” at the entrance of the parking lot, and fled the area. The SUVs, too, did not belong to the volunteers...

Politico has written an article about FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell, saying disinformation about the federal government response to Hurricane Helene, “is absolutely the worst I have ever seen,” 

Criswell told reporters on a Tuesday morning call. “It’s creating distrust in the federal government, but also the state government, and we have so many first responders that have been working to go out and help these communities,” she added. {link}

• However, if you go read the article fraught with pearl-clutching and protestation, you might curiously discover there is not a single citation for any claimed “disinformation.” {SEE HERE} 

 It is very odd to see FEMA and by extension Politico in their defense, claiming that massive disinformation is running rampant, and yet they do not cite a single example of the disinformation they claim to exist. 

 Seriously, no joke – GO LOOK...

But what makes this ad so disappointing is the fact that the NAACP doesn’t highlight the importance of fathers at any other time. I’ve written before how civil rights organizations promote abortion with far more passion than they promote marriage and family. This is more of the same.

The NAACP’s campaign has nothing to do with fathers, other than using them as political tools to get Kamala Harris elected president. A real “Dear Dad” campaign meant to uplift black fathers and families would sound far different from the ad that is circulating right now. Here’s how it might sound.

MSNBC is the worst, of course, but hardly the only network to platform what can only be described as hateful rhetoric calculated to inspire an unhinged person to take Trump out.

That is not normal "news" or commentary. 

Trump is not going to use Seal Team Six to round up his enemies, and Seal Team Six wouldn't do it. 

Yet this is now a common refrain on the "news" channel and on Joe Biden's favorite TV show.
