Ever seen a sign like this in a hotel bar? | Karen Kataline
Here’s a sign I saw in a hotel bar recently.
Yes, this is a private business, albeit a huge hotel chain, but I doubt they would have allowed such a sign ten or even five years ago.Today, more businesses than ever care less about serving customers than about serving the government and political correctness.
...Do they care how offensive it is to the majority of their customers to be told what they can and cannot discuss in a public place?
The hotel chain is acting as a proxy for the current government once again since collectivist conditioning is exactly what they want.
Before you know it, there will be rules for speech, where to stand, which way to walk, and whether you can enter a business without the right papers…
We are watching a mass cultural psychosis where people are cheering the muzzling (jabbing and persecuting) of their fellow citizens.
The bell tolls for them as well.

This is hilarious! Environmentalists are against drilling for the lithium that’s necessary for electric cars.
"Lithium is a necessary component of the batteries for electric cars that environmentalists are always claiming to be in favor of.
However, after lithium mining was proposed in California, environmentalists objected to the proposal.
The Los Angeles Times reported:
The drilling request has generated strong opposition from the Center for Biological Diversity, the Sierra Club and the Defenders of Wildlife, who say the drilling project would be an initial step toward the creation of a full-scale lithium mining operation. They say lithium extraction would bring industrial sprawl, large and unsightly drying ponds and threaten a fragile ecosystem that supports Nelson’s bighorn sheep, desert tortoises and the Panamint alligator lizard, among other species...
Absolutely hilarious!"...Read all.

Oh, goody!-----Major University Launches Racial Justice Center, Funds Nonwhite Initiatives and Offers 'Masterclass in Activism'
As announced on the University of Michigan’s website, the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy has launched a Center for Racial Justice.
Per the page, U of M hopes it will “challenge [the college] to live up to [its] democratic ideals and offer sound policy prescriptions for a more equitable and just society.”
The establishment eyes four goals.
- Inform research agendas, policy debate, and potential policy solutions
- Create an innovation space at the intersections of activism, artistry, research, and public policy, with a focus on advancing racial equity
It’s all about equity:
- Support bold, courageous, and ambitious projects targeting racial inequity and intersectional injustice, led by some of the most important changemakers of our time
The school wants to train activists, and they’re not afraid to admit it.
- Cultivate the next generation of racial justice changemakers and public policy leaders
It’s incredible how quickly the word “equity” has eclipsed “equality.”...Read all.
Covid lockdowns come with a terrible cost!-----Thousands more people than usual are dying ... but it’s not from Covid
"While focus remains firmly fixed on Covid-19, a second health crisis is quietly emerging in Britain. Since the beginning of July, there have been thousands of excess deaths that were not caused by coronavirus.According to health experts, this is highly unusual for the summer.
...According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), since July 2 there have been 9,619 excess deaths in England and Wales, of which 48 per cent (4,635) were not caused by Covid-19.
So if all these extra people are not dying from coronavirus, what is killing them?
...A report released last week by the Government detailing the direct and indirect health impacts of the pandemic reported that there were an estimated 23 million fewer GP consultations – both in-person and online, in 2020 compared with 2019...Read all.
Repeat a myth often enough...-----Fifty-seven years ago...John F. Kennedy and Richard M. Nixon met in the first-ever televised debate between major party presidential candidates.
No, ‘Politico’ — Viewer-listener disagreement is a myth of JFK-Nixon debate
In Anniversaries, Debate myth, Debunking, Error, Media myths, Television on September 26, 2017 at 1:31 pmFifty-seven years ago tonight, John F. Kennedy and Richard M. Nixon met in the first-ever televised debate between major party presidential candidates.
Soon enough, a hardy media myth grew up around the 1960 debate: It’s a robust trope that says radio listeners thought Nixon won while television viewers favored Kennedy.
Politico is the latest media outlet to give expression to the myth (or at least to its juiciest half).
An essay posted today declares that “most people who heard the debate on the radio, which focused on domestic issues, thought Nixon had won. But Nixon’s sickly image counted for more; most viewers focused on what they saw and not on what they heard.”
What’s remarkable about this hoary media myth is that it persists despite its thorough dismantling 30 years ago by David Vancil and Sue D. Pendell...Read all.

Of course, rules are for the little people
GOODER AND HARDER: ‘A disaster:’ How San Francisco’s office mask mandate is impacting restaurants, bars.
...Of course, rules are for the little people:
“In San Francisco over the weekend, Mayor London Breed explained that the video of her enjoying herself maskless at a jazz club doesn’t count when you really think about it, because, unlike you, she is really into music. ‘My drink was sitting at the table,’ Breed said when pushed on the matter, and ‘I got up and started dancing because I was feeling the spirit and I wasn’t thinking about a mask.’
Which is an absolutely spiffing excuse if one assumes that the mayor of San Francisco is alone among her fellow citizens in desiring to spend her evenings without a large piece of cloth strapped across her face.
Exonerating herself further, Mayor Breed suggested that ‘we don’t need the fun police to come in and micromanage and tell us what we should or shouldn’t be doing.’ Which, again, is a ripping justification if we assume that everyone else in San Francisco is just dying for close supervision.”--Posted by Ed Driscoll"
