The growing list of lawmakers ditching the Democratic Party | Blaze Media

'I'm constantly troubled by the inability of the current Democratic Party to relate to everyday Floridians.' The Democratic Party is hemorrhaging not just voters, but lawmakers too. Most recently, Florida state Rep. Hillary Cassel announced Friday that she would be switching her party affiliation from Democrat to Republican because she believes in "their vision for a better, more prosperous Florida."

The WORST Housing Disaster in US History: Pruitt-Igoe

Getting Off The X - by Michael Smith - Unlicensed Punditry

America has been stuck in a Carter era malaise as other countries gained on us.
Time for the return of American Dynamism.
I'm glad we're engaging in a robust debate about H1-B visas, whether to increase or decrease them.
While some of the more nationalist "America is for Americans" sentiments on social media seem to be pushed by "Trump supporters" who are actually Democrats or Never Trumpers, all feedback, even the negative, must be considered to reach the best possible decision.
We cannot ignore challenging or unpopular opinions simply because they are difficult or go against the grain.
Thomas Sowell, a brilliant and often overlooked public intellectual, once noted:
  • "Today, despite free speech and the mass media, the prevailing social vision is dangerously close to sealing itself off from any discordant feedback from reality."
Feedback loops are crucial in systems and in human learning.
They allow systems to adjust and improve by using the output as new input...
  • The 109-day, $1.5 billion presidential campaign of Kamala Harris was a stark example of evasion and denial, built on propaganda that she held power but was responsible for nothing...
America has been stuck in second gear for almost 25 years.
  • The real harm to our sociopolitical system occurs when negative outcomes are dismissed, and propaganda is employed to mask the ineffectiveness of policies...

EDITORIAL: Biden signs last-minute ban on gasoline-powered vehicles - Washington Times

EDITORIAL: Biden signs last-minute ban on gasoline-powered vehicles - Washington Times

Gavin Newsom will now decide what kind of car you’re allowed to drive. The Environmental Protection Agency last week granted California’s Democratic governor the power to forbid consumers from buying gasoline-powered vehicles across 18 states and territories — including Maryland, Virginia and the District.

Beginning next year, 40% of new cars sold in the U.S. will fall under Soviet-style production quotas set by government bureaus in Sacramento. The Biden administration is letting California make it a crime to sell too many of the conventional automobiles that Americans prefer. For model year 2026, the quota is 35% of car sales in affected states must be electric. The target increases by roughly 8% each year until it reaches 100% in 2035.

The TRUTH About Auto Stop-Start System (Nobody Talks About)

Police destroyed a Texas woman's home. SCOTUS won't hear her case.

A SWAT Team Destroyed an Innocent Woman's House. The Supreme Court Won't Hear Her Case. - Billy Binion
In July 2020, while chasing a fugitive, police arrived at Vicki Baker's home in McKinney, Texas. They threw dozens of tear gas grenades inside, used explosives to break the front and garage doors, and drove a tank through her backyard fence...
  • ...She took issue, however, with the subsequent response from the government, which refused to compensate her for the more than $50,000 in damages.
  • Her homeowners insurance likewise declined to pay, as many policies explicitly do not cover damage caused by the government.
"I've lost everything," she told me in 2021.
"I've lost my chance to sell my house. I've lost my chance to retire without fear of how I'm going to make my regular bills."
Baker, who was undergoing treatment for stage 3 breast cancer when we spoke, had been preparing to retire with her husband in Montana. After the house was ruined, a buyer predictably withdrew.
  • The government said she did not qualify as a "victim."...

Climate Scam Unraveling: World Bank Really Doesn't Know Where $41 Billion in Funding Goes

Climate Scam Unraveling: World Bank Really Doesn't Know Where $41 Billion in Funding Goes

Ah, fact-checking. Where would we be without it?

Take, for instance, a recent story that made the rounds on social media. According to these reports, Oxfam — the British NGO — found that a huge chunk of the World Bank’s spending on climate change-related issues was “missing.”

Thank heavens for fact-checkers like the Australian Associated Press — a Poynter Institute-accredited fact-checker from down under — which set us all straight: “An Oxfam report did not find that $US41 billion has gone ‘missing’  from the World Bank’s climate change fund, contrary to claims online.”

Europe: The Fall Of The Holy Renewable Empire | ZeroHedge

Literally "flat, dark calm," Dunkelflaute is characterized by a simultaneous lack of wind and sun in winter, when demand for electricity in Germany is at its highest. - Authored by Drieu Godefridi via the Gatestone Institute
Solar and wind power production falls drastically during unfavorable weather conditions.
It happens, in fact, every year...
  • The prices are indeed staggering. In 2024, the household price of electricity in Germany was the highest in Europe...
  • But this is "for the planet", right? Not even close. Despite its commitment to so-called green energies, Germany still has a high carbon footprint due to its increased reliance on coal and lignite to make up for energy shortfalls...
  • Germany's high electricity prices are leading to the relocation of its industry, as companies look for sites where energy costs are more affordable...Whole swathes of Germany's proud industry are collapsing...
  • Finally, Germany's increased dependence on its neighbors for energy supplies has been creating tensions in Europe. High electricity prices in Germany are being passed on to neighboring countries, making electricity unaffordable there and generating growing frustration.
In short, the Dunkelflaute is the symptom of a profound energy crisis, caused by an ideological, authoritarian, irrational and failed energy transition...

Legacy-Ending Photos Drop in Final Days of Biden Presidency: Then-VP Seen Meeting with Hunter's Chinese Business Associates

President Joe Biden denied meeting with the business partners of his son, Hunter Biden, on several occasions over the past few years. But photos of Hunter Biden and his father meeting with those business partners entered the public eye for the very first time this week, providing another black mark on the Biden legacy as he finally concludes his lengthy career in government.

State Department’s Global Engagement Center — accused of pushing censorship to combat online ‘disinformation’ — shuts down

The GEC, established in 2016, had a budget of about $61 million and 120 people on staff.Victor Nava
The State Department’s controversial Global Engagement Center (GEC) shut down this week after congressional lawmakers nixed reauthorizing the agency in spending legislation to keep the government open...
  • The GEC came under fire from House Republicans after journalist Matt Taibbi uncovered evidence that it pressured US social media platforms early in the COVID-19 pandemic to censor Americans online, purportedly to counter “disinformation,” such as theories that the virus leaked out of a laboratory in China.
  • “We learned Twitter, Facebook, Google, and other companies developed a formal system for taking in moderation ‘requests’ from every corner of government: the FBI, DHS, HHS, DOD, the Global Engagement Center at State, even the CIA,” Taibbi testified to Congress in March 2023, shortly after his “Twitter Files” expose on the GEC...
  • The Washington Examiner later uncovered a $100,000 grant GEC made to the London-based Global Disinformation Index (GDI) in 2021 and 2022 — a media monitoring nonprofit that would go on to deem 10 outlets, including The Post, as purveyors of “disinformation.”...

With Biden's term running out, even more taxpayer-funded aid headed to Ukraine * WorldNetDaily * by Mariane Angela, Daily Caller News Foundation

With just 24 days left in office, the Biden administration is set to announce an additional $1.25 billion in military aid to Ukraine, according to the Associated Press, citing U.S. officials. The Biden administration aims to bolster Ukraine's defenses against Russia before President Biden leaves office on Jan. 20, according to AP. The package earmarks resources for munitions, enhancing Ukraine's air defense capabilities with National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems and HAWK systems that also include Stinger missiles along with 155 mm and 105 mm artillery rounds, said officials who requested anonymity ahead of a public announcement scheduled for Monday.

20 (or So) Obvious Questions about January 6 - American Thinker

Even before Donald Trump ascends to the presidency on January 20, his appointees should ask themselves the questions that follow — all of them simple and straightforward.  -  Jack Cashill
With Christopher Wray stepping down from the FBI directorship, they will have a much better chance of getting straight answers quickly.
Trump’s team should then share those answers widely...
  • Although now the FBI admits to having 26 confidential human sources in the crowd on January 6, how many total “assets” did the FBI and other entities plant, and what roles did they play?
  • For what entity was Ray Epps working and under what terms?
  • Who planted the pipe bombs outside the DNC and near the RNC headquarters?r-the-counter pepper spray?
  • Has there been an official inquiry into the subsequent suicide deaths of four USCP officers, and if not, why has the DOJ routinely blamed the J6ers for causing those deaths?
  • Why was there no crime scene investigation in the likely homicide of Rosanne Boyland?...

Yes. They distorted the word "insurrection" specifically to keep the people's choice from becoming President!-----Congress does not have to accept Trump's electoral votes

Congress has the power to block Trump from taking office, but lawmakers must act now
The Constitution provides that an oath-breaking insurrectionist is ineligible to be president.
This is the plain wording of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution.
“No person shall … hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath … to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.”
This disability can be removed by a two-thirds vote in each House.
Disqualification is based on insurrection against the Constitution and not the government.
The matter has been decided in three separate forums, two of which were fully contested with the active participation of Trump’s counsel...

Merry Christmas, Tony: Fauci Loses Wildly Over-Priced Taxpayer-Funded Security for New Year

The former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases indeed had a massive federally funded security detail, costing the taxpayers $15 million between January 2023 and September 2024 alone, according to a federal memo obtained by Open The Books. Now that the government funding has expired, Fauci appears to have shelled out for his own security services.
