County Officials Vowed to 'Block' and 'Interfere' with ICE Operations, Then State AG Entered the Picture

Two months after an Iowa sheriff publicly postured that he would block Immigration and Customs Enforcement efforts in his county, he and the state are in a legal duel that has all of the county’s state funding at stake.

Iowa Republican Attorney General Brenna Bird brought the hammer down on Winneshiek County last month after giving Sheriff Dan Marx weeks to retract comments made in a Feb. 4 Facebook post, according to Fox News.

John F. Di Leo - Whatever you think about the Trump announcement... | Facebook

...there are a lot of misconceptions out there that need to be corrected.
  • One in particular is the shock that some people displayed at the fact that red China is being hit with a mid range increase of 34%, when some other countries are being hit with an even higher percentage in the 40s and 50s...These new tariffs are “stackable” - meaning that they are on top of almost all the other existing duties and tariffs in place...
  • One other point worth mentioning, just for clarification… Some people are confused at why Russia was left off the list. Well, four countries were left off the list, to be specific, and for a good reason. It is illegal to import goods from Russia, Belarus, Cuba, and North Korea… So that means the goods of these four countries already are assessed, generally, somewhere between 35 and 50 percent when they show up… But again, there is so little of that, that it’s barely worth mentioning.. Because we cannot legally import from these four countries at all due to sanctions.
I hope that helps.

Supreme Court sides with Trump to temporarily allow DEI cuts of $65 million | Blaze Media

Chief Justice John Roberts joined the liberal dissent. The U.S. Supreme Court handed the Trump administration its first victory of the second term from the highest court of the land. In a 5-4 ruling, the court temporarily allowed the administration to keep $65 million in federal funding cuts from Trump's executive order against diversity, equity, and inclusion policies while litigation continues. Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the three liberal justices in dissent.

Insurance bills higher? Must read this!!-----HEADLINE: “The shadow nonprofit’s push for ESG”, By STONE WASHINGTON

“ ESG policies thus often amount to a system of burdens and restraints on free enterprise, in order to appease an array of left-leaning political interests.” - Stephen Heins
Since 1871, NAIC’s stated purpose has been to professionally support the roughly 11,000 state insurance regulators in maintaining stable insurance markets. Yet, in recent years, NAIC has moved beyond its mission to stealthily foist environmental, social, governance (ESG) requirements onto state insurance entities...
  • NAIC does not pay taxes nor report an annual 990 form detailing the source of its funding and financial activities...
  • NAIC can ignore FOIA requests for information about its operations, while imposing standards that skirt notice and comment requirements in rulemaking.
  • NAIC’s regulatory impact is vast.
Its recently adopted “residual interests” rule has the potential to “hit American insurers even harder than Solvency II,”... a devastating European Union policy that has “resulted in
  • higher insurance premiums for European consumers and businesses and a
  • shortage of long-term insurance policies.”...
This controversial framework has allowed NAIC to advance policies that transform the entire insurance industry without proper transparency or accountability...

Exactly as Adolf's goons terrorized their countrymen.-----Beyond accountability: How the left finds release in an age of rage

“We should replace our piece of crap Constitution.” - Jonathan Turley
Those words from author Elie Mystal, a regular commentator on MSNBC, are hardly surprising from someone who previously called the Constitution “trash” and urged not just the abolition of the U.S. Senate but also of “all voter registration laws.”
But Mystal’s radical rhetoric is becoming mainstream on the left, as shown by his best-selling books and popular media appearances.
There is a counter-constitutional movement building in law schools and across the country...
  • It is part of the “righteous rage” that many of them see as absolving them from the basic demands not only of civility but of legality.
  • They are part of a rising class of American Jacobins — bourgeois revolutionaries increasingly prepared to trash everything, from cars to the Constitution...
Of course, it is not revolution on the minds of most of these individuals. It is rage.
Rage is the ultimate drug.
It offers a release from longstanding social norms — a license to do those things long repressed by individuals who viewed themselves as decent, law-abiding citizens.
The one thing the American Jacobins will not admit is that they like the rage and the release that it brings them.
From shoplifting to arson to attempted assassination, the rejection of our legal system brings them freedom to act outside of morality and to take whatever they want...

WTH??!!

The deep state cabal that LIED about Hunter Biden's laptop | Blaze Media

House Republicans have uncovered documents revealing that the FBI knew the Hunter Biden laptop story wasn’t “disinformation” but rather used Big Tech to snuff out the story.

“The FBI wasn’t just quiet about the Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 election, they actually told their own people not to talk about it,” Jill Savage of “Blaze News Tonight” reports, noting that a top FBI lawyer even issued a gag order on an agent who accidentally confirmed the story’s validity.

  • As an aside, this appears to be the biggest political scandal in the history of the country.
Never before has an outgoing administration attempted to fix a presidential election.
It's like something out of a third world country.
  • But then, Obama always admired dictators like Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez.

Thoughts About China Attacking Taiwan... By Dan Zoernig

I think China will attack Taiwan at some point in the near future.
Near future is a relative term, of course, because it could mean anything from next weekend to five years from now.
  • But they are sending all the right signals and doing all the right things to foreshadow their intentions.
They want that island badly, and they're probably not going to go away without trying to take it.
At least as long as Xi is still breathing.
So, I guess the first question I have is, "Why didn't they do it while Biden was president?"...

Pregnant 'boys'? Trump HHS slashes hundreds of millions in LGBTQ grants * WorldNetDaily * by Elizabeth Troutman Mitchell, The Daily Signal

The Trump administration's Health and Human Services Department has canceled hundreds of millions of dollars in grants dedicated to researching illegal sexual behavior in children, pregnancy prevention for "transgender boys," and so-called sleep inequality affecting black sexual-minority men. In March, HHS canceled at least $530 million of funding for LGBTQ health research programs, according to a grant tracker from Noam Ross of rOpenSci and Scott Delaney of Harvard's T.H. Chan School of Public Health. HHS previously provided more than $990 million of grant funding to LGBTQ health research programs, according to the tracker.

Victor Davis Hanson: Donald Trump’s Trade Parity ‘Golden Age’ Explained

This makes sense!-----Here's When Canada Will Cave on Trump's Tariffs Matt Margolis

I have no doubt that Canada will cave to Trump on tariffs.
The question is: when?
“Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary expressed confidence that the ongoing trade tension between Canada and the U.S. would eventually lead to a resolution, and he even predicted when...
O’Leary emphasized the importance of distinguishing between the “noise” of political rhetoric and the underlying “signal” that points toward economic cooperation...
  • O’Leary argued that a combined economic effort between the U.S. and Canada could pose a significant challenge to China. “If you combine those economies… it would be much stronger against China if there were no tariffs between Canada and the United States,” he said.
The logic behind this argument lies in the historical and economic interdependence of the two countries. According to O’Leary, Canada’s economy has been deeply tied to the U.S. for over a century, with 75% of Canada’s output sold to the U.S. for more than 120 years...
  • O’Leary predicted that Canada will wait until after Canada’s upcoming election, which is set to take place in about five weeks, before caving to Trump on tariffs...
